MICHAEL JACKSON
THIS IS IT
TOUR & FILM
I’m convinced that the combination of cutting edge design, 3D video projection, lighting, costume and choreography, combined with Michael’s extraordinary talent, and cooked up in a pressure pot of expectation, would have produced one of the greatest comebacks of all time. Sadly it was never to be.
AC/DC
BLACK ICE
WORLD TOUR
Three large curved arches of lights continued the theme of the Rock and Roll train that was the original title of the album. The set design featured Mark Fisher’s train wreck of a steam engine which came crashing through the back of the stage as the show began.
TAKE THAT
PROGRESS TOUR
The Progress tour had to top the huge success of Take That's last outing - Circus. Es Devlin's monumental set was a huge challenge to light, but the pay-off was a spectacular show that had everything in it from a real dam gushing thousands of gallons of water to a giant 60' high robot who stands up in the centre of the stadium! An unusual feature of this show was the choice of followspot positions. We forwent the traditional spot towers in the centre of the field to give an uninterrupted view of the crowds around the B stage.
FIFA WORLD CUP
CONCERT 2010
SOWETO, SA
The concert to mark the opening of the 2010 World Cup took place in Soweto the night before the first game. Ray Winkler's stage design was based around a series of three dimensional shields painted with the national flag, and they became the backdrop for the performances of an eclectic mix of artists from England, America and Africa. Together with a partisan South African audience, this made for an extraordinary and upbeat celebration.
OZZY OSBOURNE
AT BLIZZCON ANAHEIM
Ozzy Osbourne performed at the famous Blizzcon video game conference in California in front of a crowd of 9000 avid video gamers – many dressed as characters from World of Warcraft. It was…. different!
ROLLING STONES
A BIGGER BANG WORLD TOUR
Another rich and extravagant creation from the imagination of Mark Fisher suggested biblical excess combined with the hubris of Ozymandias. One of the big effects of the show was the 100’ long bridge that appeared magically from the main stage and telescoped out to provide access for the band on a smaller B stage in the centre of the stadium.

SIMON AND GARFUNKEL
OLD FRIENDS
WORLD TOUR
The design of the stage and lighting rig was a reflection of the more pastoral and folk driven material that Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel performed on their first tour for seventeen years.

TURN IT ON AGAIN WORLD TOUR

THE POLICE
REUNION WORLD TOUR
The Police reunion was one of the most anticipated tours of the year. A simple, oval shaped stage set was integrated with a similar shaped overhead rig. As the show were performed in the round a series of automated self-climbing towers at the back of the stage was used to break up the monotony of the composition and introduce some vertical lighting elements.
ROGER WATERS
PROS AND CONS OF HITCHHIKIN...
Roger performed the whole of his new album in front of a super-wide film screen on which was projected high resolution 35 mill material.
ROMEO AND JULIET
VIENNA STATE OPERA
The renowned German director, Jurgen Flimm, presented us with the challenge to design an opera that had no scenery, using only lighting to place the action and set the atmosphere. We didn’t even have a balcony! The notoriously traditional Viennese audience took this production to their hearts and it still runs in repertory today.
BEN HUR
O2 ARENA
LONDON
This job was an epic, in both scale and execution. Against a background of skeletal scenery designed by Mark Fisher and Ray Winkler, the lighting system allowed the empty arena to be transformed from the shores of Galilee to a stormy sea and finally to the Coliseum, scene of the dramatic chariot races. Sadly the production closed before it was seen in more than half a dozen venues.
PRATER BIG WHEEL
VIENNA
This famous landmark in Vienna was given an electronic facelift. A series of dimmable fluorescent tubes counted down the seconds to the hour at which point they triggered a light show that illuminated the Wheel in a different colour each night of the week.
